The Spirit of Welcome It all began with a dream.  Nancy Williams held the dream of Unity at Williams on the Lake, and her husband Virg Williams caught hold of that dream.  He began a plan for re-designing a building on their property, and soon after that, he began the physical re-construction.  I held the dream of Unity Minister.  Some of you held the dream of having a Unity church in Medina.  Others were then attracted to Unity teachings and together we prayed, visioned, planned, sanded, painted, scrubbed, cleaned, contributed financially, did fundraising, carried loads of items to our new church home and more!  We are now seeing the fulfillment of those collective dreams in the Unity Life Enrichment Center. Together we have pioneered a beautiful church home.

Our Unity is a home for all those who will come to experience a loving, inclusive and guilt-free Christianity.  No judgment, no pressure, Just God. At Unity, many will come to oneness with God and one another, realizing a happier, fuller, and more successful life.  Unity first offers a place of learning, inspiration, solace, safety, comfort and understanding.  Unity also offers an opportunity for freedom and greater consciousness.  It is a place to find infinity, and a place where you can rid yourself of “self” through surrender, coming to know the One Spirit.  It is a place of true authenticity.

As we come to settle into our new home, we reflect on the power of God our Source, and the power of consistent prayer and the cooperative efforts of many people, giving the best of their time, talent and treasure.  Love in action is what we see!  Yes, we can also see that we have utilities and maintenance for the first time; we see all that still needs to be cleaned, sorted, arranged and organized, divinely organized that is.   And yes, we will do this too.  For where God guides, God provides. We are never alone.

Our twelve spiritual powers of Faith, Love, Strength, Wisdom Power, Imagination, Understanding, Will, Order, Zeal, Elimination and Life are gifts given to “power us up” to do what is ours to do and to be what we are meant to be.  We will continue to remember what we already know: 1.) the power of God along with 2.) the power of our faithful prayers and 3.) our cooperative efforts will allow us to receive our Good!  These three will prepare us and allow us to serve more people than we can currently even imagine.  At each step we will remember to call forth our gifts of spiritual powers and volunteer where we feel led.  We claim that God is in charge of our church and all is well.

I invite you to treasure all your wonderful, memories of past days, months and years and to have positive intentions for the present and future.  I invite you to step into responsibility and true ownership of your church.  Stretch a bit, not only to participate “full out”, but also to invite friends and neighbors to come to Unity for Sunday service, class or special events.  Offer your true spirit of welcome all who come by introducing yourself to others, helping them feel the true warmth and love at Unity of Medina.  Consciously make connections!  Encourage each other to wear name tags and really get to know one another.

Our new church home is now a reality and we warmly welcome all!  Yes, Welcome to the Unity Life Enrichment Center.  Congratulations to all our pioneers!
